Tough Times Don't Last - Tough People Do
Tough Times Don't Last - Tough People Do

Recently, I have had 6 unexpected deaths in the last 6 weeks. During these difficult times you turn every corner, look under every rock, behind every door looking for answers. Why? How come? Why now? I know I am not alone with unexpected deaths but when death hits the core of your heart and the pain is so deep you need to find refuge in something or somewhere. You can always find a smile in a memory knowing the smile will turn to tears. Although the tears fall softly the memories will be held tightly and securely and that rainbow will soon shine through the darkness. I have found my refuge in reading, praying and staying focused on my tomorrows. I have compiled some of my favorite quotes that I have been reading and studying. I pray these quotes will help others during their difficult struggles.

Every soul is to taste the death. Certaily we belong to God and certainly we have to return towards Him. From the first breath to the last breath is the lifespan, it is a trust till the appointed time. The best performance is expected whereby dignity of mankind is maintained. Death closes a chapter and opens another. It is the good deeds behind that keep the name alive. All goodness lies in it that my behaviour as a human being advances the cause of humanity. The quotes are worth appreciation.

I appreciate these lovely quotes. I lost my son to cancer 4 yrs ago today. It still feels like it isn't true...I need him so much...I will never be the same again.

Noelle 22 months ago

Vocalcoach..I'm so sorry to hear about your son, no parent should ever have to experience that. I lost my daughter almost 7 years ago. Your right, you will never be the same again, but you will become a more humble and compassionate person. Your love for your son will continue to grow every day, and I believe he will always be with you. God Bless

There are some beautiful quotes here.

It's always hard to understand the passing of life but I always like to say, when someone is no longer with us, that we should continue to remember and cherish their life and those moments that made their life special. We may sadly miss our departed ones but they would not want us to be unhappy, so rather than be sad at our loss, we should try to celebrate their life and the joy that they gave to others.

Thanks Cheri for sharing these poignant thoughts.

Wonderful quote collection. I found the ones by the World War II refugee and Charles A. Beard very inspirational. In my opinion, death is the gateway from present time to eternity.
